Colors are an important part of healthy body and mind. Deficiency of a particular color in the body leads to certain ailments. Holi played a vital role in making up for this deficiency as the Holi colors used in ancient times were herbal and natural.

Holi colors at that time were made out of natural ingredients like turmeric, Neem, Palash (Tesu), fruits, vegetables, and so on. The splashing of herbal and natural colors on each other during the Holi festival produced a soothing and healing effect on the body. The herbal colors are loaded with the power of strengthening the ions in the body thus making you healthy and beautiful.

But nowadays, the Holi festival is unfortunately limited to only fun with no benefits for health. Holi is now mostly celebrated with synthetic or artificial colors, which contains dangerous chemicals like lead oxide, diesel, chromium iodine and copper sulphate. Artificial Holi colors cause rashes on the skin and irritation in the eyes along with many serious diseases like cancer.

Festivals must always be celebrated with old traditions and values. So, it is safe to use only herbal and natural Holi colors during the Holi festival as they do not harm the skin and the body.
